Tagua Tagua Park is, without a doubt, one of the best kept secrets of the Lakes Region. This private initiative that protects more than 3,000 hectares of Valdivian forest is a place of constant scientific investigation of ecosystems due to the pristine nature of the place and the isolation that the Puelo river valley has had.

This zone marks the beginning of the vast region that includes Patagonia where geography changes to become an endless number of impenetrable valleys, fjords and rivers. We start in a southeasterly direction visiting the towns of Cochamó and Puelo, always skirting the Reloncaví estuary, the northernmost fjord of Chile, and then entering the beautiful Puelo river valley, internationally recognized for its fishing and the color of its waters.

As you enter the valley for 12 kilometers you will reach the Tagua Tagua lake, specifically the Puerto Canelo area, where you will navigate to the other end of the lake, where you will find the Tagua Tagua private park.

The entrance of the Park has a complete visitor center where the 5 trails that the Park has are detailed, completing a total network of 18 kilometers of trails, granting the option to the visitors to choose where to walk in relation to the capacities and preferences of each one. As an alternative plan to Trekking, there is the possibility of paddling Tagua Tagua Lake admiring the park from the water.

This place is an excellent option for those looking to explore an unknown place within the Los Lagos Region.
